Amends section 601a of the Michigan Vehicle Code (1949 PA 300) to regulate enforcement of traffic provisions on private roads open to the general public

Allows counties, cities, townships, or villages to contract with private road owners to enforce vehicle code provisions on their roads

Permits peace officers to enter private roads open to the general public to enforce the vehicle code if proper traffic control signs meeting Michigan manual standards are posted

Makes private road owners responsible for the cost of posting required signs

Excludes roads under control of a mobility research center from the definition of "private road that is open to the general public," regardless of private research entity or corporate use agreements
