Individuals 16 years of age or older must obtain a current waterfowl hunting license in addition to a base license and federal migratory bird hunting stamp, with an annual fee of $12.00

Of each $12.00 waterfowl license fee, $9.00 funds wetland and land acquisition/restoration for waterfowl benefit (limited to 0.25% for land acquisition unless prior appropriations are exhausted), and $1.93 supports operation and maintenance of managed waterfowl areas

Collectors may purchase waterfowl hunting licenses as stamps without placing them on a base license or signing them, but these licenses are not valid for actual hunting

Department must develop an electronic waterfowl hunting license allowing individuals to display a digital copy on an electronic device by March 1, 2018

Bill takes effect only if Senate Bill 1073 of the 98th Legislature is also enacted into law
