Notes that Michigan hosts 31 of the sorority's 993 international chapters located on college and university campuses with active alumnae groups throughout the state.

Recognizes the sorority's commitment to community service through volunteer work in education, health, economy, the arts, and family support.

Directs transmission of the resolution to Toni Kendrick, Great Lakes Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
