Highlights the Michigan Child Protection Registry, a free state-administered program created by the legislature in 2004 that allows families to block adult-oriented advertisements including alcohol, tobacco, pornography, illegal gambling, and illegal drugs from email, cell phones, and instant messaging

Places administration of the Michigan Child Protection Registry under the Secretary of State with enforcement by the Attorney General

Urges all individuals to increase awareness and ensure their internet use remains safe and secure throughout the year
