Designates September 26, 2016, as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) Awareness Day in Michigan to honor Chad Carr, who died of DIPG on November 23, 2015, at age 5.

DIPG is a fatal brain cancer affecting 200 to 400 school-age children annually in the United States, with tumors in inoperable brain stem locations and a five-year survival rate of less than 1 percent.

Chad Carr's family created the ChadTough Foundation to raise awareness and funds for DIPG research, generating over $1 million in donations for pediatric cancer research through the foundation and University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.

Urges increased public awareness and increased funding for research into the prevention and cure of DIPG and other pediatric brain tumors.
