Consumer reporting agencies may charge up to $10.00 for placement, temporary lifting, or removal of security freezes for general consumers under article 2.

Consumer reporting agencies may not charge fees for security freeze services if the consumer has filed a police report for identity theft or is an active duty member of the armed forces.

Consumer reporting agencies may charge up to $10.00 for placement or removal of security freezes for protected consumers (minors), but may not charge if an identity theft report has been filed or if the protected consumer is under age 16 and the agency has a credit report on file.

The act takes effect 90 days after enactment into law.
