State administrative board shall convey state-owned property in Marquette County (Section 36, Township 48 North, Range 25 West, City of Marquette) to Northern Michigan University by quitclaim deed for $1.00 consideration.

Property must be used exclusively by Northern Michigan University for forensic anthropology studies and directly related activities, and use cannot interfere with Department of Corrections operations on contiguous property.

Northern Michigan University cannot convey or sell the property to anyone other than the state, and must maintain any previously designated historical monuments, memorials, burial grounds, parks, or wildlife habitat areas in perpetuity.

State retains all aboriginal antiquities (mounds, earthworks, burial sites, mines, relics) with power to enter the property for excavation and removal; if any oil, gas, or minerals are developed, the grantee must pay the state 1/2 of gross revenue generated.

If the property is used in violation of the restrictions, Northern Michigan University must reconvey it to the state or the state may reenter and repossess the property without liability for improvements or unfulfilled contracts.
