Allows students to satisfy 3 credits of "21st century skills" requirements for a high school diploma through any combination of courses in specified subject areas.

Permits credits in a language other than English completed during grades K-12, including American Sign Language and online coursework, to count toward the requirement.

Allows credits in visual arts, performing arts, or applied arts (as defined by the department) to satisfy the requirement, with school districts strongly encouraged to offer visual arts and performing arts courses.

Permits credits in computer science, computer coding, or a combination thereof to count toward the 21st century skills requirement.

Allows credits from department-approved formal career and technical education programs to satisfy the requirement; takes effect 90 days after enactment and is contingent on passage of HB 4316.
