Prohibits health care providers from refusing to provide health care services or supplies to patients based solely on the patient's refusal to allow photocopying or scanning of their driver license or Michigan personal identification card.

Allows health care providers to view the license or identification card to verify patient identity or to capture data from it for their database, but not to retain physical copies.

Applies to health professionals licensed, registered, or authorized under the Public Health Code and to health facilities or agencies licensed or certified under the Code.

Makes violation of this provision subject to the same penalties, remedies, and administrative sanctions applicable to other violations of the Public Health Code.
