MI HB4833

Modifies the Michigan work-study program for graduate and professional students by changing the citizenship eligibility requirement in Section 4 of 1986 PA 303 (MCL 390.1324).

Expands eligibility from U.S. citizens and permanent residents to include any student eligible to receive Title IV, HEA program assistance under 34 CFR 668.33.

Maintains other existing eligibility requirements including 12-month Michigan residency, non-incarceration status, half-time graduate enrollment, financial need certification, and no default on authority-guaranteed loans.

Does not take effect unless all companion bills (HB 4831, HB 4829, HB 4832, HB 4834, and four additional bills with pending bill numbers) are enacted into law.
