• Allows school superintendents to adjust the timing period, designate off-campus lunch periods as school zone times, and request school crossings on state trunk line or county highways with speed limits of 35 mph or higher based on traffic engineering studies.

• Requires "All Year School" signage for year-round schools and permits supplemental signs including louvered, digital message, and flashing light signs to conform to Michigan manual on uniform traffic control devices.

• Establishes that violations of school zone speed limits are civil infractions; takes effect 90 days after enactment.
