Designates September 11 through September 17 of each year as "Patriot Week" in Michigan, beginning on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks and concluding on Constitution Day (September 17).

Legislature recognizes understanding of American history and First Principles as essential to preserving the republic and honors victims of the September 11 attacks.

Identifies key historical figures (including Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., and others), founding documents (Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Gettysburg Address), and symbols (various American flags) as embodying America's First Principles.

Encourages citizens, schools, government agencies, municipalities, and organizations to participate in Patriot Week by celebrating and honoring America's First Principles, historical figures, founding documents, and symbols.

Effective date is 90 days after enactment into law.
