Amends Michigan Penal Code section 539g to add a new subsection (e) permitting custodial parents, foster parents, or guardians to eavesdrop on minor children's private conversations in which the child is a participant.

Prohibits parental eavesdropping on conversations between the minor child and their attorney, guardian ad litem, child custody investigator, or peace officer.

Prohibits parental eavesdropping on conversations between the minor child and the other custodial parent unless the parent has a good-faith, objectively reasonable basis for believing eavesdropping is necessary to protect the child's well-being or safety.

Updates reference in subsection (d) regarding prison telephone monitoring to cite the Corrections Code of 1953 (1953 PA 232, MCL 791.270) instead of Act No. 232 of the Public Acts of 1953.
