Prohibits insurers from charging different rates for the same coverage based on sex, effective 90 days after enactment.

Replaces references to "commissioner of insurance" with "director" throughout the statute.

Removes sex from the list of factors that can be used to refuse insurance or limit coverage amounts, while maintaining exceptions for race, color, creed, marital status, and national origin.

Clarifies that rate differentials based on age, residence, location of risk, disability, or lawful occupation must be based on sound actuarial principles and actual loss statistics or reasonably anticipated experience for new coverages.

Applies to all insurance policies, certificates, and contracts delivered, executed, issued, amended, adjusted, or renewed in Michigan or covering Michigan residents.
