Requires local police agencies to make records of salvage vehicle inspection fee collection and disposition available for review or audit by the local unit of government and to the state department upon request.

Specifies that salvage vehicle inspection fees collected by local authorities must be used solely for law enforcement purposes related to stolen vehicles and salvage inspections, including equipment and road patrol services.

Allows local police agencies to determine their own salvage vehicle inspection fees, not to exceed $100.00 per inspection.

Requires fees collected by the Department of State to be used for administering the salvage vehicle inspection program and prohibits those fees from lapsing to the general fund.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment (effective date July 4, 2018).
