Amends the Revised School Code Section 1177 to modify immunization requirements for children enrolling in public or nonpublic schools.

Removes the effective date restriction "beginning in the 2014-2015 school year" so that the immunization submission requirement applies to all children enrolling in grade 7 for the first time, not just those starting in that specific year.

Changes department references from "Department of Community Health" to "Department of Health and Human Services" throughout the statute.

Changes language from "through" to "to" when referring to grade ranges (K to 12).

Adds requirement that the Department of Health and Human Services' rules be subject to Section 9227(3) of the Public Health Code (MCL 333.9227) when promulgating immunization rules.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment, contingent upon Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 5162 also being enacted into law.
