Courts must order individuals convicted of or juveniles adjudicated for criminal sexual conduct violations (sections 520b, 520c, 520d, 520e, or 520g) who are students to be prohibited from attending the same school building as their victim.

Convicted or adjudicated individuals are also prohibited from using school buses for transportation if they would have contact with the victim during bus use.

"School" is defined as a public school offering developmental kindergarten, kindergarten, or grades 1-12 as defined in the Michigan Revised School Code.

"School bus" includes motor vehicles with 16 or more passenger capacity owned or operated by public, private, or governmental agencies, or privately owned vehicles operated for compensation to transport children to and from school.

The act became effective August 8, 2018 (90 days after enactment on May 9, 2018).
