Schools must adopt and implement policies addressing sexual abuse of children, consistent with state task force recommendations and guidelines.

Policies must address age-appropriate curriculum for grades pre-K to 5, staff training on child sexual abuse, parent education about warning signs, counseling resources, and review of mandatory reporting systems.

Information about warning signs and resources must be provided to parents and guardians in student handbooks.

Parents must receive advance notice of instruction content, opportunity to review materials, and right to have their child excused from instruction without penalty or loss of academic credit.

Act takes effect 90 days after enactment.
