Replaces references to "sexually transmitted disease" with "sexually transmitted infection" throughout the sex education statute.

Requires school districts offering sex education to establish a sex education advisory board with at least half parent members, 2 co-chairs (one must be a parent), and representation from students, educators, clergy, and community health professionals.

Advisory board must establish program goals to reduce sex, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infection rates; review instructional materials and methods; and evaluate program effectiveness at least every 2 years with results reported to parents.

Requires school districts to hold at least 2 public hearings at least 1 week apart before adopting any revisions to sex education materials or methods.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment and is contingent on passage of HB 5734.
