School districts and public school academies must provide information annually to all students in grade 8 and above about college level equivalent courses and credit examinations, including registration, eligibility, and fees.

"College level equivalent courses" include advanced placement and international baccalaureate courses taught at postsecondary instruction level that prepare students for college credit examinations.

"College level equivalent credit examinations" include advanced placement, DSST, and college-level examination program (CLEP) tests administered by independent testing services.

Student portfolios for high school pupils must include all academic records and correspondence related to participation in college level equivalent courses or postsecondary enrollment under the postsecondary enrollment options act.

Amendments also modify provisions regarding urban high school academies, cyber schools, and student enrollment and identification documentation requirements.
