• Requires homicide review teams to include representatives from local health departments, law enforcement, courts, sheriff's office, Department of Health and Human Services, business community, crime victim services, medical examiner, prosecutor, judge, and probation officer.

• Grants homicide review teams and their members immunity from civil liability for acts or omissions during team activities, unless resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

• Protects all information obtained by homicide review teams as confidential and exempt from discovery and public records requests, except documents available from other sources retain their original discoverability status.

• Requires teams to prepare annual reports by March 1 covering findings and recommendations without identifying victims, family members, or alleged perpetrators; violations of confidentiality provisions are misdemeanors.
