MI HB6013

Creates the Michigan Innovative Transportation Board consisting of 13 voting members appointed by the Department of Transportation, legislative leaders, and 10 industry associations.

Board members serve 2-year terms and must be appointed within 60 days of the act's effective date; vacancies filled by the original appointing entity.

Members serve without compensation but may receive reimbursement for travel and necessary expenses consistent with state law and civil service rules.

Board must meet at least quarterly with a majority of voting members constituting a quorum; a majority of members present required for official action.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment only if House Bills 6014 and 6015 are also enacted into law; board meetings subject to Michigan's open meetings act and freedom of information act.
