Requires local health departments to attempt to interview HIV-positive individuals within 14 days of receiving a report and contact identified sexual or needle-sharing partners within 35 days to inform them of possible exposure, without disclosing the infected person's identity except with authorization.

Requires local health departments to provide contacted partners with information about HIV testing, transmission prevention steps, and other relevant information.

Mandates local health departments destroy all reports, records, and data related to partner notification within 365 days, and exempts this information from disclosure under Michigan's Freedom of Information Act.
