• Requires individuals to hold a registration to practice as a medication aide and prohibits persons from offering medication aide training programs without a permit.

• Establishes biennial fees of $20.00 for medication aide registration, $40.00 for medication aide trainers, and $300.00 per site for medication aide training programs, with competency examination fees of $125.00.

• Renames the "nurse aide registry fund" to the "nurse aide and medication aide registration fund" and directs department to promulgate rules implementing the medication aide program within 90 days of enactment.
