Amends Michigan Penal Code section 237a to allow teachers and school employees to carry self-defense spray or foam devices in schools where they are employed.

Establishes felony penalties for specified weapons violations in weapon-free school zones, including imprisonment up to the maximum authorized term, up to 150 hours community service, or fines up to 3 times the maximum authorized fine.

Establishes misdemeanor penalties for other weapons violations in weapon-free school zones, including imprisonment up to 93 days or the maximum authorized term (whichever is greater), up to 100 hours community service, or fines up to $2,000 or the maximum authorized fine (whichever is greater).

Creates misdemeanor penalties for possessing any weapon in a weapon-free school zone (up to 93 days imprisonment, 100 hours community service, or $2,000 fine) with exemptions for law enforcement, concealed carry license holders, school security personnel, and individuals transporting firearms unloaded and secured in vehicles for lawful purposes.

Defines "self-defense spray or foam device" by reference to section 224d and clarifies that "weapon" includes pneumatic guns; establishes that weapon-free school zones include school property and school transport vehicles.
