Authorizes intermediate school districts and school districts with at least 20,000 pupils containing a city with population of at least 180,000 to create law enforcement agencies under the Public Body Law Enforcement Agency Act (2004 PA 378).

Grants law enforcement officers employed by these agencies the same powers, immunities, and authority as peace officers and police officers to detect crime, enforce criminal laws, state laws, local ordinances, and school district ordinances and regulations.

Designates school district law enforcement officers as peace officers of Michigan with authority under the Michigan Vehicle Code and Code of Criminal Procedure.

Requires automatic transfer of a law enforcement agency from a qualifying school district to its community district upon conversion to a community district, with the community district then authorized to operate the agency.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment and is contingent on enactment of Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 6104.
