• Establishes that DNA profiles must only be disclosed to criminal justice agencies for law enforcement, in judicial proceedings, to defendants in criminal cases, or for academic/research purposes with identifications removed.

• Imposes a $60 assessment on individuals convicted of crimes listed in the statute, with 25% going to collecting law enforcement agencies and 65% to the state justice system fund.

• Requires DNA samples and profiles to be disposed of within 60 days if charges are dismissed, result in acquittal, or no charge is filed within applicable limitations periods, with written notice sent to requesting agencies.
