MI HB6216

Amends Michigan's aquaculture regulations to require persons transporting aquaculture species to produce documentation including origin of shipment, registration or permit copies, shipping destination, and any proof required under the Animal Industry Act upon demand by the director or law enforcement officer.

Clarifies that aquaculture facility registration does not exempt persons from requirements imposed under any local, state, or federal regulation if their activity is required to be regulated under any act.

Requires persons holding aquaculture research permits to comply with the Animal Industry Act when importing aquaculture species that are subjects of research.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment, contingent upon House Bill 6205 of the 99th Legislature being enacted into law.
