MI HB6339

Adds loperamide to Schedule 5 controlled substances and establishes specific dosage limits for codeine, dihydrocodeine, ethylmorphine, diphenoxylate, and opium in compound preparations.

Prohibits sale, distribution, or delivery of products containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine through mail, internet, telephone, or electronic means, with exceptions for inconvertible formulations and prescription dispensing.

Designates ephedrine and pseudoephedrine as prescription drugs requiring prescriber authorization, with limited exceptions for over-the-counter products meeting specific FDA labeling and formulation requirements.

Exempts from restrictions products dispensed by prescription, inconvertible formulations certified by DEA, retail sales by licensed dealers, and charitable donations to nonprofits and licensed practitioners.

Repeals former sections 7340a, 17766c, 17766e, and 17766f of the Public Health Code; takes effect 90 days after enactment only if House Bills 6340 and 6341 are also enacted.
