Michigan Judicial Institute shall provide training for probate judges and circuit judges serving under the family court plan.

Michigan Judicial Institute shall provide additional training for probate judges, circuit judges, court administrators, court staff, and juvenile justice stakeholders on matters involving juveniles under chapter XIIA of the probate code.

Required training must include validated risk and needs assessments and appropriate dosages for medication-based treatment.

Creates the Michigan Judicial Institute Juvenile Justice Training Fund within the state treasury to receive money from any source, with interest and earnings credited to the fund.

Supreme Court shall expend money from the fund upon appropriation to pay costs of providing the required juvenile justice training, with fund balance not lapsing to the general fund at fiscal year end.
