Declares May 20-26, 2018, as Public Works Week in Michigan to recognize the 58th annual National Public Works Week sponsored by the American Public Works Association.

Acknowledges that public works infrastructure, facilities, and services are vital to sustainable communities and the health, safety, and well-being of Michigan residents.

Recognizes the dedicated efforts of public works professionals, engineers, managers, and employees from state, local government, and private sector who plan, design, build, operate, and maintain transportation, water supply, water treatment, solid waste systems, and public buildings.

Affirms the public interest in educating Michigan citizens, civic leaders, and children about the importance of public works and public works programs in their communities.
