Amends Michigan penal code section 556 to prohibit employers from discriminating in wage payment between individuals of different sexes who are similarly employed.

Removes outdated language restricting female workers from tasks deemed disproportionate to their strength or employment in places deemed detrimental to their health or potential capacity for motherhood.

Establishes tiered misdemeanor fines based on employer size: up to $5,000 for employers with 1-15 employees, up to $10,000 for 16-50 employees, and up to $20,000 for employers with more than 50 employees.

Allows wage differences based on factors other than sex, and does not prohibit additional criminal charges arising from wage discrimination violations.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment.
