• Establishes an Address Confidentiality Program administered by the Michigan Department of the Attorney General to protect victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.

• Allows eligible individuals (18+), parents/guardians of minors, and guardians of wards to apply for certification to keep their residential addresses confidential while using a designated state address for official documents and mail.

• Requires participants to submit notarized statements confirming they face risk of harm, designate the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget as their mail and service of process agent, and update information within 30 days of changes.

• Provides program participants with unique identification numbers, participation cards, and information on obtaining confidential voter registration and corrected government identification documents.

• Prohibits sex offenders required to register under the sex offender registration act from participating; certification is valid for 4 years and can be renewed; violations of confidentiality disclosures are misdemeanors punishable by up to 93 days imprisonment or $500 fine.
