Allows school districts and public school academies to modify Michigan merit standard graduation requirements for students through personalized curriculum plans, with parental consent and teacher involvement.

Permits modification of mathematics, social science, health/physical education, and visual/performing arts credit requirements if students complete additional credits in English, math, science, or foreign language, or complete career and technical education programs.

Protects English language arts and science credit requirements from modification in personalized curricula, and requires algebra I, geometry, and at least one mathematics course in final two years of high school.

Requires annual notification to students and parents about personalized curriculum options and mandates development of educational development plans starting in grade 7 that include career exploration, talent portfolios, and job market information.

Schools must ensure all students have access to required curriculum through traditional courses, online options, postsecondary enrollment, cooperative arrangements, or alternative instructional methods including career and technical education programs.
