State administrative board accepts reconveyance of two parcels of property from the city of Lansing located in Ingham County that were previously conveyed to the city under 1996 PA 531 and 2004 PA 421.

First parcel (45 acres) was required to be dedicated for park and recreational purposes available to the general public regardless of residence; second parcel was required to be used exclusively for public golf course or other public purpose with equal fees and terms for residents and nonresidents.

State administrative board reconveys both parcels back to the city of Lansing for $1.00, removing the restrictions requiring public access regardless of residence and equal treatment of residents and nonresidents.

Reconveyance must be by quitclaim deed approved by the department of attorney general and subject to the same original terms and restrictions except those being removed.

Net proceeds from the conveyance are deposited in the state general fund; act becomes effective July 2, 2018.
