Requires prescription labels dispensed by dispensing prescribers to include the medication name, expiration/discard date (or actual expiration date if different), and a substance abuse hotline telephone number.

Sets default expiration instruction as "Discard this medication 1 year after the date it is dispensed" unless state or federal law specifies a different expiration date.

Designates the substance abuse hotline requirement as the "Megan Letavis law."

Takes effect 90 days after enactment.
