Requires the superintendent of public instruction, attorney general, and director of the department of state police to update and publish the statewide school safety information policy to include procedures for responding to active shooter incidents at school.

Mandates that the updated policy be made available to the public on the department of state police website.

Establishes that the policy must address law enforcement protocols, types of reportable incidents, response procedures, school official assistance, and other matters facilitating school safety reporting and information exchange.

Requires school superintendents to immediately report incidents meeting reporting requirements to appropriate state or local law enforcement agencies in the manner prescribed by the policy.

Specifies that school boards must cooperate with local law enforcement to provide detailed building plans and blueprints to law enforcement agencies and must comply with federal family educational rights and privacy act (FERPA) requirements when sharing information.
