Removes requirement that guardians' fingerprints be stored in the automated fingerprint identification system under MCL 722.115k before conducting national and state fingerprint-based criminal record checks.

Expands criminal record check requirements to include all successor guardians and all adults living in the guardian's or successor guardian's home.

Maintains existing eligibility criteria for guardianship assistance: guardian must be relative/legal custodian or licensed foster parent approved by department, and child must have resided with guardian for minimum 6 months.

Allows siblings to be placed together in relative guardianship arrangements if one sibling is title IV-E eligible and the other is not, with title IV-E funding payments available for each sibling.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment.
