Brewers not licensed as micro brewers may sell beer for on-premises consumption at no more than 2 approved tasting rooms in Michigan.

Licensed micro brewers producing fewer than 30,000 barrels per year may sell beer for on-premises consumption at any of their approved tasting rooms in the state.

Licensed micro brewers producing 30,000 barrels or more per year may sell beer for on-premises consumption at no more than 3 approved tasting rooms in Michigan.

Multi-location brewers may sell beer from one licensed premises at a tasting room on another premises if the receiving location has production equipment capable of at least 3 barrels per batch, produces 50% of tasting room sales volume, had a pre-October 1, 2018 licensure application, or is converting an approved wine tasting room to a micro brewery.

Act becomes effective only if eight related bills (SB 1155, 1156, 1159, 1160, 1161, 1164, 1165, and 1166) are also enacted into law.
