Physician must personally perform a physical examination of a patient before diagnosing pregnancy, determining gestational age, or prescribing a medical abortion.

Physician is prohibited from using remote means such as internet webcams to diagnose pregnancy, determine gestational age, or prescribe medical abortion.

Physician must be physically present at the location where the prescription drug initiating a medical abortion is dispensed, though a qualified individual under the physician's direct supervision may dispense or administer the drug.

Physician must obtain informed consent from the patient in the manner prescribed under section 17015 before performing a medical abortion.

The bill does not create a right to abortion and does not permit abortions prohibited by law.
