MI SB1203

Amends the Michigan sentencing guidelines (MCL 777.16l) to add multiple felonies to Chapter XVII, including offenses related to extortion, coercion regarding abortion, impersonation of officers and public employees, and fraud.

Establishes sentencing classifications and statutory maximum sentences for crimes including false pretenses (ranging from Class B to Class E depending on amount), telecommunications fraud (Class E or D), and residential mortgage fraud (Class C or B depending on loan value).

Adds new provisions for offenses involving false representations in recorded documents and unauthorized credit applications (MCL 750.219e and 750.219f), each classified as Class F felonies with 4-year statutory maximums.

Requires that violations of MCL 750.213a(3)(a) (coercing a female to have an abortion against her will) be sentenced based on the underlying offense classification, offense variable level, and prior record variable level.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment, but only if Senate Bill No. 1202 is also enacted into law.
