Notes that paddlesports contribute over $140 million to Michigan's economy and are among the fastest-growing outdoor activities in the nation

Identifies Michigan as having over 4,700 miles of water trails across Great Lakes coastlines and connecting to trails in other states and provinces

Proposes a competitive, criteria-based grant program to fund capital improvements including signage, kayak racks, restrooms, accessible launches, picnic areas, pavilions, boat washing stations, trash containers, and water safety programs

Directs copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and members of the Natural Resources Commission
