Acknowledges the Michigan Lupus Foundation's "Cure to the Capitol Lupus Awareness Bike Ride" scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2018, traveling from Southfield to the State Capitol.

Notes that lupus predominantly affects women (90 percent of cases) and is most prevalent among African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Asians.

Identifies underfunded medical research as a critical need and urges citizens to support the search for a cure and assist individuals and families affected by lupus.

Directs transmission of this resolution to the Michigan Lupus Foundation.
