Acknowledges his eight years of Senate service, including chairing the Agriculture and Rural Development, Environmental Quality, and Natural Resources Appropriations subcommittees.

Notes his leadership roles as chair of the Senate Second Amendment Caucus, Senate chair of the Michigan Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, and elected member of the National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses executive council.

Commends his work promoting legislation on sportsmen's issues, crime victims' rights, agriculture, veterans' issues, autism insurance, and health care.
