Honors Senator John Proos for completing eight years of service representing Michigan's Twenty-first District in the state Senate.

Proos sponsored more than 50 public acts during his Senate tenure, leading initiatives in criminal justice reform and state energy policy updates.

Served as vice chair of the Energy and Technology and Local Government committees, and as a member of the Finance, Redistricting, and Michigan Competitiveness committees, while chairing Appropriations subcommittees on Corrections and the Judiciary.

Proos previously served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives after being elected in 2004 and worked as a staffer in Congressman Fred Upton's office.

Senate directs that copies of this resolution be transmitted to Senator Proos as evidence of gratitude and best wishes.
