HB-4095 Summary

• Amends the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act to redefine "state licensed residential facility" to include facilities licensed under child care laws (1973 PA 116) that serve 7 to 10 individuals if located on a parcel of 20 acres or more, in addition to the existing 6-or-fewer capacity facilities.

• Expands eligibility for state-licensed residential facilities by allowing facilities under 1973 PA 116 child care licensing to serve up to 10 individuals instead of the previous 6-or-fewer limit, provided they meet the 20-acre minimum parcel requirement.

• Modifies the definition of "population" in the act to use "later" census data instead of "more recent" census data when comparing federal decennial census to special census conducted under the Glenn Steil state revenue sharing act.

• Takes effect 90 days after enactment into law.
