Prohibits using professional position of authority to prevent or attempt to prevent reporting of certain sexual assault and abuse crimes listed in MCL 750.136b, 520b, 520c, 520d, 520e, or 520g.

Criminalizes retaliation or attempted retaliation against persons who report crimes, including committing crimes against them or threatening to kill, injure, or damage property.

Prohibits giving anything of value, threatening, or intimidating persons to influence their statements or evidence to police during lawful criminal investigations.

Establishes misdemeanor penalties (up to 1 year imprisonment and/or up to $1,000 fine) for violations, and felony penalties (up to 10 years imprisonment and/or up to $20,000 fine) when violations involve committing crimes or threats of harm.

Allows attorneys' lawful conduct and statutorily-permitted communications as exceptions; takes effect 90 days after enactment.
