Director of the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs shall promulgate rules regarding firefighters' use of firefighting foam concentrate containing PFAS (perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances).

Rules must cover best practices for proper use, handling, and storage of firefighting foam concentrate and best health practices for containment, handling, and decontamination of PFAS-contaminated materials and equipment.

Prohibits firefighters from using firefighting foam concentrate containing intentionally added PFAS for training purposes.

Prohibits use of PFAS-containing firefighting foam for equipment calibration after January 1, 2020, except when calibration is required by law or the facility has implemented compliant measures.

"Firefighter" is defined as either a person meeting the definition in the Firefighters Training Council Act or an individual employed and trained in basic firefighting operations.
