Replaces "shall" with "must" throughout MCL 257.951 to modernize statutory language regarding uniform traffic code adoption and enforcement.

Modifies language in subsection (2) regarding private road enforcement by changing "of uniform traffic control devices" to "on uniform traffic control devices" and revises the effective date reference from the 2006 amendatory act to July 20, 2006.

Establishes new requirements for disability parking space signs erected or replaced on or after the effective date of the 2019 amendatory act, requiring compliance with the design adopted under MCL 37.1102a and prohibiting the word "handicapped" while allowing instructional words like "reserved."

Takes effect 90 days after enactment, contingent upon House Bill No. 4516 of the 100th Legislature being enacted into law.
