Eliminates outdated racial language from Michigan's insurance code by removing references to "white persons" and "colored persons" and replacing with neutral terms like "individuals" and "based on race or color"

Prohibits life insurers from making any distinctions or discrimination based on race or color in premiums, rates, rebates, diminutions, discounts, or policy conditions

Voids any policy stipulations or conditions that attempt to bind insured individuals or their heirs to accept less than the full policy amount based on race or color

Increases penalties for insurer violations from $500 to $1,000 per violation, recoverable by the attorney general through civil action

Increases criminal penalties for officers or agents who violate the section from a fine of $50-$500 to $500-$1,000 and/or imprisonment in county jail for not more than 1 year
